Stroke is a leading cause of disability and the second leading cause of death worldwide. There have been major advances in acute treatments for stroke care, but access and availability remain limited.
The time to act is now.
Access to stroke care is an essential part of universal health coverage.
Ahead of the UN high-level meeting on non-communicable diseases set for 2025, this event marks the launch of a new policy paper on stroke treatment and care.
Join WHO, patient, clinical, public and private sector representatives, as well as policy decision makers, as we shine a light on the burden of stroke, and breakthrough developments in care. Together we will explore the health and economic opportunities these advances bring, and the role of stroke care in achieving Health for All.
