On the occasion of President José Ramos-Horta’s official visit to the United Kingdom, Capital Group, Angular Legal and the Virtual Gaming Association, are delighted to invite you to hear from the President about Timor-Leste's strategy to attract businesses from around the world to its shores.
President Ramos-Horta gained international recognition as a fervent supporter of his people even before he became a distinguished Nobel Peace Prize laureate in 1996. Alongside his remarkable diplomatic abilities, he also excelled as a negotiator and peacemaker. Throughout his prolonged exile from his homeland, spanning nearly thirty years, he tirelessly represented the Timorese population on the global stage, as they valiantly fought for their survival, then their independence.
The government has a long-term economic plan for Timor-Leste and success in attracting international businesses is right at the heart of it. The welcome we extend to those who invest in Timor-Leste is critical to the country's long term future as a democracy.
Tea and coffee will be served throughout the conference. This event is invitation only.
