Palesa Phili
Palesa has over 20 years’ experience in the ICT and telecommunications sector, with senior leadership roles across multinationals, government, and the public sector. She is currently the CEO of the Durban Chamber of Commerce and Industry, driving the Chamber’s strategic objectives. Previously, she held executive roles at MTN and Vodacom, with experience at global technology firms. She holds an MBA from the University of Johannesburg and was named GagasiFM SHERO Big Business Professional of the Year in 2022.

His Worship Mayor of eThekwini Vusumuzi Cyril Xaba
Cllr. Cyril Xaba is the Mayor of the eThekwini Metropolitan Municipality, bringing decades of leadership experience across local, provincial, and national government. He has built a distinguished political career through senior roles in the KwaZulu-Natal Legislature and the National Assembly, where he chaired key parliamentary committees and contributed to national policy and oversight. As a former MEC for Agriculture and Rural Development, he played a strategic role in advancing rural economies, food security, and institutional governance in KwaZulu-Natal. He holds a Master of Laws (LLM) from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and is widely recognised for his disciplined leadership, public-sector expertise, and commitment to service delivery and economic renewal.
