Join us for Hungarian Day at the Pennsylvania Capitol, a special celebration honoring Pennsylvania's Hungarian-American Heritage and commemorating the 70th Anniversary of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution.  In September, State Representative Valerie Gaydos, introduced a resolution designating October 23, 2026, as Hungarian Revolution Memorial Day in Pennsylvania. This historic occasion will bring together state legislators, community leaders, and friends of Hungary to honor those who courageously stood against communist oppression in pursuit of freedom, democracy, and national sovereignty.

You are invited to join the day's program, which will include remarks on the floor of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, a scheduled vote on this historic resolution and a reception.  Together, we will honor the sacrifices of the past, celebrate the enduring bonds between Hungary and Pennsylvania, and reaffirm our shared commitment to liberty and opportunity.
