Please join Communities In Schools of Los Angeles, for an intimate conversation with LAUSD Board President, Mónica García, to discuss the district's goal to reach 100% graduation in the nation's second largest public school system. Board Member García proudly represents Board District 2, which includes the communities of Boyle Heights, East Los Angeles, and Downtown. With her bold call to action for “Diplomas for All,” Board Member García has galvanized the LAUSD school community to take aggressive action to reach 100% graduation and break the cycle of poverty by ensuring that every child can read, write, think, and believe.

Refreshments will be served at 5:30, program will begin promptly at 6:00pm.

Parking is available in the lot under the building, please enter on Constellation Blvd. Validation will be provided at the security desk when you exit the event.

Communities In Schools of Los Angeles’ (CISLA) mission is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. We believe that every student in Los Angeles’ public schools should receive the supports he or she needs in order to develop the emotional, social and learning skills required to graduate high school ready for meaningful employment or higher education. During the 2017-2018 school year, CISLA will serve more than 12,000 students at ten, Title 1 middle and high schools throughout Los Angeles.
