A day to enjoy the fall colors, read something spooky, eat, drink, and swap books! Grab your favorite horror novel and join us in the park for some of the best views in the city, plenty of cozy fall vibes, and a book exchange.
What to expect:
We will spend silent time reading, and then we can do the book swap, chat, eat/drink & be merry! There is no format or book club-type activities, but please come ready to actually read.
What to bring:
- A blanket/pillow/chair - whatever makes you comfy and cozy!
- Fall-themed or horror-themed snacks and drinks to share. Get creative!
- A scary book to read
- A mystery horror book to swap
- Anything else you think will make the day more enjoyable! I will bring a speaker for music after reading time.
If you want to participate in the swap:
- Bring a book wrapped in paper. The theme is SPOOKY, so bring a favorite horror story.
- We will do a white elephant swap - you can either pick a mystery book or steal a book that has already been chosen until everyone has gotten a book.
Feel free to invite your favorite bibliophile!
RAIN DATE: If the weather is not cooperating, this event will be moved to the following day - Sunday, October 11th at the same time.
