  Brian Del Gatto, Wilson Elser LLP

  Brian Del Gatto is the founder and regional managing partner of Wilson Elser’s Phoenix, Arizona, office, and the former New England Region managing partner. As a key member of the firm’s Transportation, Cargo & Logistics practice, Brian’s core emphasis is on assisting surface transportation providers or users with all of their legal needs. Brian and his team handle such claims and cases in New York, Connecticut and many other U.S. jurisdictions, including numerous matters relating to the needs of Canadian clients. Brian also has significant experience in product liability and toxic tort matters, as well as general corporate litigation. Brian has experience with the full range of surface transportation matters, including bodily injury, employment, premises liability, contractual, product liability and regulatory matters. He has handled class actions in the transportation area, representing Fortune 500 companies as either national or local counsel. Often Brian is involved in transportation matters that emanate from Canada in his role as national or regional counsel for a number of Canada-based insurer and insured clients. Brian is actively involved in numerous transportation industry organizations, including the Transportation Lawyer’s Association, and is a member of The Trucking Industry Defense Association and its Canadian Relations Committee.

  Rick Swanarchuk, MPI

  Rick Swanarchuk is the Senior Director, Commercial Lines at Manitoba Public Insurance (MPI). He joined MPI in 2020 as the Director, Product & Pricing before moving into his current role in 2021. Rick is accountable for the Special Risk Extension (SRE) portfolio which services all automobile business outside the MPI Basic Autopac product. Rick started his insurance career in 1999 as a Commercial Lines Underwriter. Commercial Lines has always been his passion. He has enjoyed Senior Leadership roles in Canada, operating in both Regional and National markets with some of Canada’s largest Insurers. Rick’s responsibilities have included accountability for the financial performance of property, casualty, and commercial automobile portfolios across the country. His prior experience also includes development of strategy and execution plans for underwriting, operations, product, and loss control.

  Jennifer Scott, MPI

  Jennifer Scott is the Manager, Specialized Risk claims at Manitoba Public Insurance. She has been with MPI since 2008, holding various roles, including Adjuster, Specialist, and Supervisor, in the Out of Province and Commercial Claims departments. In her role, Jennifer leads teams with members in Brandon, Winnipeg, and Steinbach that oversee all out of province losses and heavy vehicle claims across Canada and the United States, in both the public and private lines of business within MPI. Since 2015, Jennifer has also been actively involved in furthering education in the industry with her position on the Insurance Institute of Manitoba Council, of which she is currently President. With this, she supports advancing the insurance profession through education, professional development, and personal growth.
