William Campbell Gallery is pleased to host an in‑depth artist talk with Benito Huerta in conjunction with his current exhibition Brownsville. Huerta will share insights into his decades‑long studio practice, reflecting on the artistic, cultural, and historical influences that shape his work. Through this conversation, guests will have the opportunity to explore the themes central to the exhibition and gain a deeper understanding of Huerta’s approach to form, narrative, and visual language.

Benito Huerta is a widely respected Texas‑based artist known for work that blends bold visual storytelling with reflections on culture, history, and contemporary life. Over his long career, Huerta has exhibited extensively across the United States, with his work included in numerous museum and institutional collections. In addition to his studio practice, he has contributed to the arts as an educator, curator, and arts advocate, helping shape and support creative communities throughout Texas.
